What is Kerno?

Kerno is a runtime backend testing tool for engineering teams and coding agents. It writes and runs tests against a running application and its real dependencies, covering end to end backend flows, API testing, security testing, MCP testing, contract testing and async worker testing. It maps the blast radius of a code change and verifies each affected flow, and it integrates into CI and agent loops so regressions surface before merge. It is aimed at developers using AI coding agents and at teams wanting consistent verification. A free plan and paid and enterprise plans are offered.
