What is Comet?
Comet is an AI developer platform built around Opik, an open source LLM observability and evaluation tool. It is aimed at engineering and ML teams building generative AI applications and agents. Main features include trace logging with many integrations, automated error diagnostics, an agent that recommends fixes, test suites and LLM-as-a-judge evaluations, production monitoring and cost tracking for coding agents. Comet also provides experiment management for model training runs. It is sold with a free Opik tier, paid plans and a demo option, plus self-hosted and cloud deployment.
